Book club apathy

Well that was a spectacularly unsuccessful experiment. I guess I'll leave this up anyway just in case I need it someday. I suppose the title isn't really all that accurate. I think there might have been people interested but we just had too much on our plates and couldn't get things up and running. Maybe someday....

A new beginning

I hope this will be the beginning of a fun and interesting way for us at Harambee Elementary School to continue our book club. Since it has been so hard to meet lately I am hoping that this will be a way for us to continue to explore our profession through reading. I established this blog with the idea that we could use it to read and post comments on the books we read together. I'll send out a link to this blog and am looking forward to any comments you might have. I'm also looking into other ways that we might use technology for this purpose. For instance, are there online forums that might work better than a blog? I'm afraid that this blog still looks pretty bare since I'm just getting it set up. I'll add to it as I can find the time. We can talk more about what books we want to read once we decide whether this is the route we want to take for our discussions. Let me know what you think!
